WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The training course provides the necessary knowledge for professionals such are Government Ministries and Agencies, Private Sector Employers, Consulting Engineers, Contractors, Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Legal Advisers and all involved with the implementation and management of Works Contracts.
About the trainer:
Zoltán ZÁHONYI (Mr.) holds a degree of M.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Budapest, Hungary 1991) and a postgraduate degree in Law (Budapest, Hungary 2004), possessing international experience in various civil engineering fields (design and execution of works) including preparation and management of construction projects.
Involvements with consulting engineering and FIDIC contracts (from early 1990-s to date): translator of FIDIC 1999 Red-, Green-, Yellow, 1995 Orange and also the 2008 Gold Book (Hungarian language). Became member of Task Groups of the Contracts Committee of FIDIC in 2007 (also, member of FIDIC’s Contracts Committee from 2009, chair of the CC between September 2015 and December 2019), participating in and managing of the preparation of FIDIC’s 2017 Suite of Contracts Updates among other forms. Dispute adjudicator in Hungary. FIDIC accredited international trainer – acclaimed in many countries and by many MDBs including the World Bank. Recent years leading FIDIC CC’s Task Group for preparing Subcontract Forms back to back with the 2017 Suite of Contract Forms, the Emerald Book (2019) and the Green Book (2021).
Current position: managing director, partner and leading consultant in Z & Partners Consulting Engineers Ltd. (www.zandpartners.com) advising clients and contractors in multiple construction contract related fields from project preparation through managing implementation and post contract activities and disputes.
