ACES, USAID and Colliers International: LEED® Green Associate Courses

LEED® accreditation is the foremost certification for the qualification of professionals in the field of green building. LEED® exam for Green associates is the first level of LEED® system of  professional certification and is specifically designed for professionals non-technical profession.

In cooperation Association, USAID Competitiveness Project and Colliers International organized the first LEED® Green Associate Exam Prep course in Serbia on November / December 2009, and organized two cycles LEED® Green Associate Exam Prep course on June / July and October 2010.

The course consisted of several lectures which treated the following topics: Introduction to the concept of Green building and institute, Analysis of the building life cycle, costs and benefits, Introduction to LEED, GBCI, LEED system of grading, Sustainable sites: transportation, site selection, design, Efficient use of water, energy and atmosphere: demand, effectivness, refrigerants, renewable energy, current energy efficiency, materials, raw materials and resources, waste management, life-cycle impacts, Indoor environmental quality: indoor air quality, temperature, lighting and acoustics, Innovative approaches.
