Incooperation with ACES member – Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration (FEFA) and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, ACES organized a round table on infrastructure as a driver of the local economy. The round table was held on November 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration (FEFA).
This event was attended by renowned experts from the public and local sector, as well as representatives of the academic community who discussed prospects for development of infrastructure in Serbia. The round table participants discussed the new Law on planning and construction, major infrastructure projects in Serbia and challenges of infrastructure development. With the representatives from the Ministry of economy (Dušan Vasiljević), Traffic Engineering (dr Olja Čokorilo), FEFA (dr Vladimir Poznanić), and K. Adenauer Foundation (Henri Bone), on behalf of ACES, panelists was Nikola Matić.
The discussion on the draft on the new Law on planning and construction involved present businessmen, economists and engineers. In particular, thay emphasized the importance of simplification of procedures, greater clarity of property rights which are a requirement for the development and harmonization with international standards of FIDIC.
